Bosch UniversalChain 18 tronçonneuse sans fil – 18 V, solo, sans batterie (06008B8001)

The Bosch UniversalChain 18 is a battery-powered chainsaw designed for light to medium cutting tasks around the home and garden. It has a 20 cm cutting blade and a chain speed of 4.5 m/s, providing steady performance for pruning, cutting small logs and clearing branches. The tool’s compact construction and 3 kg weight make it easy to maneuver and transport while the 1.1 mm drive link thickness ensures efficient teeth engagement during cuts.

Advantages

The cordless design eliminates the need for a power cable, offering greater mobility when working in yards or away from mains power. At 3.7 m/s² vibration emission and 84 dB sound pressure level, the chainsaw is engineered to reduce user fatigue and keep noise within a practical range for residential use. The 20 cm blade length balances cutting capacity and safety, and the light overall weight makes extended use less tiring.

Suitable for

• Pruning shrubs and small branches
• Cutting firewood from small-diameter logs
• Garden clearance and tidying
• DIY outdoor projects requiring controlled cuts

Key specifications

• Blade length: 20 cm
• Chain speed: 4.5 m/s
• Drive link thickness: 1.1 mm
• Vibration emission: 3.7 m/s²
• Sound pressure level: 84 dB
• Weight: 3 kg

How to use

Before use, ensure the battery is correctly charged and securely fitted according to the battery manufacturer’s instructions. Check chain tension and lubrication, and follow the user manual for correct chain adjustment. Hold the chainsaw with both hands and position your body to maintain balance; use steady, controlled movements when cutting. Start with smaller test cuts to get a feel for feed rate and cutting speed, and allow the chain to reach full speed before engaging the material. After use, remove the battery, clean debris from the bar and chain, and store the tool in a dry place.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves, eye protection and hearing protection when operating the chainsaw. For tasks beyond light pruning and small log cutting, consider a chainsaw with a longer bar and higher chain speed or consult product documentation for recommended duty cycles and battery capacity to match your workload.
