Testeur de câble fibre optique ACT CX1007

The ACT Fiber Optic Cable Tester CX1007 is an optical cable visual fault locator designed to help locate breaks, bends and misaligned connections in multimode and singlemode fiber networks. It supports FC, LC, SC and ST connectors and emits a visible red light in the 640–660 nm range to trace fiber routes and identify individual fibers during installation and maintenance. The tester is compact and lightweight, with dimensions of 30 × 18 × 100 mm, and is powered by AA batteries for portable field use.

Advantages

The CX1007 provides a clear visual indication of fibre faults and end-to-end continuity using a visible red laser, enabling rapid identification of breaks and connectors to test. Its compatibility with common connector types (FC, LC, SC, ST) and the 640–660 nm wavelength make it suitable for both singlemode and multimode fibres for short-range tracing. The small form factor and AA battery power make the unit easy to carry and operate on-site without external power sources.

Suitable for

• Tracing fibre routes during installation and maintenance
• Identifying individual fibres in multi-fibre cables and patch panels
• Locating breaks, bends or poor connections in short-distance fibres
• Quick continuity checks on FC, LC, SC and ST terminated fibres

How to use

Insert AA batteries and connect the tester to the fibre connector under test using the appropriate adapter for FC, LC, SC or ST. Activate the visual fault locator; the device emits a visible red light that will appear at breaks, bends or at the far end of the fibre if continuity is present. Move along the cable and inspect connectors, splices and patch panels to locate the source of signal loss or to identify individual fibres. Power the unit off when not in use to conserve batteries.

Recommendations

Do not look directly into the light source and avoid pointing it at other people. Use the visible fault locator for short-range tracing and identification; it is not suitable for measuring optical power or long-distance loss. Confirm results with appropriate optical test equipment when precise loss measurements are required.
