Ruban isolant 3M 80610139521 1 pièce

The 3M 80610139521 Electrical tape is a black PVC insulating tape designed for primary electrical insulation and cable harnessing. It combines an elastic backing with an aggressive adhesive to provide moisture-tight electrical and mechanical protection for wires and cable joints. The tape is suitable for use up to 600 V and at temperatures up to 105°C, and offers resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids, corrosion and ultraviolet exposure.

Advantages

The elastic PVC backing and strong adhesive deliver secure adhesion and conformability with minimal bulk. The tape resists abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids and corrosion while maintaining performance under varying weather conditions and UV exposure. Its specified breakdown voltage of 600 V and temperature rating to 105°C make it suitable for a range of electrical insulation tasks.

Suitable for

• Primary electrical insulation of wires and cable joints up to 600 V
• Harnessing and bundling cables in panels and appliances
• Insulation and protection in environments exposed to moisture, chemicals or UV
• Applications requiring flexibility at low temperatures

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean and dry before applying the tape. For electrical insulation, wrap the tape tightly around the conductor or joint with a slight overlap (typically 30–50% overlap) to build up the required insulation thickness. Use successive layers until the desired coverage and insulation are achieved. For harnessing, wrap around the cable bundle to secure wires in place. Cut the tape with scissors or tear by hand if appropriate for the application.

Recommendations

Use the tape only within its specified ratings (600 V, up to 105°C). For high-voltage or critical safety applications beyond these specifications, consult technical documentation or choose a tape qualified for the higher requirements. Store rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance.
