Pince Gedore 1552112

Plier Gedore 1552112 is a compact long, flat-round jaw plier with straight, serrated gripping faces and induction-hardened precision cutting edges. Made from Gedore special hardened and tempered steel with chrome plating, it combines a slim profile (66 mm width, 33 mm height) and light weight (164 g) for precise handling and durability. The handles are fitted with VDE insulating sleeves rated up to 1000 V in accordance with EN 60900 / IEC 60900.

Advantages

The plier offers high cutting-edge hardness (61–63 HRC) for long-lasting precision and wear resistance. Serrated, straight gripping faces provide secure hold on small parts, while the induction-hardened edges ensure consistent cutting performance. Chrome plating protects the tool against corrosion and simplifies cleaning. VDE-insulated handles permit safe work near live circuits up to 1000 V when used correctly and inspected regularly.

How to use

Grip the plier by the insulated handles and position the jaws on the workpiece so the serrated faces engage the surface evenly. Apply controlled pressure for gripping or cutting operations, avoiding excessive force that could damage small components or the tool. For electrical work, verify the insulation condition before use and follow safety procedures for working near live circuits. Keep the cutting edges aligned for precise results and store the tool dry to maintain the chrome finish.

Recommendations

Inspect the VDE insulation regularly for damage and do not use the plier on live circuits if the sleeves are nicked, cut or otherwise compromised. For sustained cutting performance, avoid cutting hardened wire beyond the tool's intended capacity and periodically clean and lightly lubricate the pivot joint.
