Panneau cache-baie Rittal XNL003818 1U, gris

Rittal XNL003818 is a 1U grey rack blanking panel for standard 19-inch server and network racks. It occupies a single rack unit to cover unused spaces, helping to direct airflow within the cabinet, limit dust ingress and preserve a neat internal layout. The panel is designed for straightforward installation in 1U mounting positions and is compatible with typical server-room and network-cabinet installations.

Advantages

The blanking panel improves airflow management by closing open rack units, which reduces recirculation of hot air and supports more efficient cooling. Its solid construction minimises dust and debris entry into the rack while maintaining a uniform external appearance. The neutral grey finish integrates with common rack equipment colours and helps maintain professional rack aesthetics. Installation is quick and does not require special tools when used with standard 19-inch rack rails.

Suitable for

• Data centres and server rooms seeking improved airflow control
• Network cabinets and telecom racks with unused 1U spaces
• IT closets where dust reduction and organised layout are important
• Environments where consistent rack appearance is required

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U blanking panel for 19-inch racks
• Colour: grey
• Material: rigid panel construction suitable for rack mounting
• Mounting: fits standard 19-inch vertical rack rails in a single unit position
• Primary function: airflow management, dust reduction and visual organisation

How to use

Position the panel in the desired 1U gap on the front of the rack and align it with the rack’s vertical rail holes. Secure the panel according to the rack’s standard mounting method (screws or captive fasteners) so that it sits flush with adjacent equipment. Use multiple panels to close consecutive unused units or to create defined airflow zones. Periodically inspect the panel and surrounding rack area for dust accumulation and clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent as needed.

Recommendations

For effective thermal management, place blanking panels in all unused front-facing rack units directly above or below active equipment to force intake air through installed devices rather than through empty spaces. Combine with proper cable management and blanking panels at the rear if necessary to optimise overall airflow patterns.
