Module informatique Adder Adderlink CATX

The Adderlink CATX computer module is designed to connect computer systems to a CATx KVM switch or to an Adderlink X console module. It extends USB, video and audio signals over CATx cabling to provide reliable connectivity and support for high-resolution video in KVM and extender installations.

Advantages

The module supports USB signal extension alongside video and audio transmission over CATx cable, enabling centralised control and flexible placement of computers relative to the KVM switch. Its compact form factor simplifies integration into existing racks and workstations while maintaining signal quality for typical KVM extender applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers to a CATx KVM switch
• Integrating with Adderlink X console modules
• Remote workstation and control room setups requiring USB, video and audio extension

Key specifications

• Product type: Computer module for CATx KVM systems
• Brand: Adder
• MPN: CATX-USB
• Interfaces: USB, video and audio over CATx cabling

How to use

Connect the Adderlink CATX computer module to the host computer using the local-side USB, video and audio connectors, then link the module to a CATx KVM switch or Adderlink X console module using CATx cable. Ensure cable terminations and connections match the corresponding remote or switch ports. Power and signal routing are managed according to the connected KVM or console module instructions.

Recommendations

Use high-quality shielded CATx cabling and follow Adder’s installation guidelines for distance limits and grounding to maintain signal integrity. Verify compatibility with the target KVM switch or Adderlink X module model before deployment.
