BOYA BY-M1 Lavalier microphone

The BOYA BY-M1 is a compact and versatile lavalier microphone that delivers high quality sound no matter what device you're working with. Compatible with a wide range of equipment such as smartphones, cameras, camcorders, audio recorders and computers, it is an ideal solution for digital creators. With the option to switch between camera and smartphone modes, as well as the sensitivity of the condenser microphone, it guarantees clear, natural sound in all conditions.

High-quality sound in a compact form factor

The BOYA BY-M1 microphone is equipped with an advanced HD audio chip that effectively eliminates noise and background noise, allowing you to record crystal clear sound. This is especially important when recording voice in noisy areas such as city streets. Thanks to its wide frequency response (65 Hz - 18 kHz), the BY-M1 faithfully reproduces the full spectrum of sounds, from deep tones to the highest registers, ensuring professional-sounding recordings.

Versatility and convenience of use

The BOYA BY-M1 stands out for its exceptional versatility, allowing it to be seamlessly connected to almost any device equipped with a 3.5 mm TRRS connector. A switch on the microphone housing allows you to easily switch between mobile devices and cameras, eliminating the need for additional adapters. The 6-meter cable gives you freedom of movement and the ability to conveniently record in a variety of settings - from presentations in the office to vlogging on the go.

Reliable in tough conditions

One of the greatest strengths of the BOYA BY-M1 is its rugged construction and included accessories that help you record in demanding conditions. The anti-wind foam effectively suppresses wind noise, and the included clip ensures that the microphone is securely attached to clothing. This solution makes the BY-M1 perfect for interviews, live broadcasts or recording on the move, where every sound matters.

Precisely designed for content creators

The BOYA BY-M1 was designed with the needs of content creators in mind, regardless of their experience. Thanks to its lightweight design, the microphone is almost imperceptible when recording, allowing users to focus solely on their performance. The compact design and included carrying pouch allow for easy storage and transport, making it an ideal choice for those working in dynamic environments.

How to use

For smartphone use, slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF/Smartphone position so the microphone’s internal power is disabled and the phone’s TRRS input handles audio. For use with DSLR cameras, camcorders, audio recorders or PCs, slide the switch to ON to enable the microphone’s power. Clip the lavalier near the speaker’s chest area (about 15–20 cm below the chin) and orient the capsule away from clothing noise. Route the cable to avoid rubbing and secure it with the included clip.

Recommendations

Place the mic on stable clothing, test audio levels before recording, and keep the cable free from friction to reduce handling noise. Use the camera/recorder mode (ON) with devices that require the microphone’s powered output and the smartphone mode (OFF/Smartphone) for direct phone connections.
