Gaine thermorétractable DeLOCK 18983

The DeLOCK 18983 heat shrink tube is a 2-meter black polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1.6 cm. It is designed to insulate and protect cables, electrical tubes and wires by shrinking tightly around them when heat is applied, providing a durable barrier against moisture, dust and mechanical damage. Each pack contains one piece suitable for a range of electrical and cable-organizing tasks.

Advantages

The polyolefin construction offers reliable electrical insulation and good resistance to environmental influences. With a length of 2 meters and a maximum diameter of 1.6 cm before shrinking, the sleeve fits various cable bundles and connectors. The black colour provides a discreet finish for installations and helps protect against UV exposure and dirt.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Insulating and protecting single wires and cable joints
• Cable repair and reinforcement of worn insulation
• Bundling and organizing cable looms in electronics and automotive applications
• Sealing connections against moisture and dust

How to use

Slide the heat shrink tube over the cable or connection so it fully covers the area to be protected. Apply heat evenly using a heat gun or other suitable heat source until the sleeve contracts and forms a tight, uniform fit around the cable. Allow the tube to cool so it sets in place. For best results, ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.

Recommendations

Use a regulated heat gun at moderate distance to avoid overheating; avoid open flames. For electrical safety, ensure power is disconnected before applying the heat shrink tube to live wiring.
