The zinc-plated, passivated cable shunting ring is a 120 x 90 mm steel sheet accessory intended for use with telecommunication system strips and telecommunication distribution enclosures. It supports flexible, system-compatible cable routing and is made of sheet steel with a zinc-plated, passivated finish for corrosion protection.

Advantages

The zinc-plated, passivated finish provides basic corrosion resistance while the compact 120 x 90 mm steel construction ensures stable mechanical support for routed cables. The design allows mounting on telecommunication strips or directly inside distribution enclosures, enabling tidy and compatible cable organization with minimal space usage.

Suitable for

• Cable routing inside telecommunication distribution enclosures
• Mounting on telecommunication system strips
• Organizing patch cables and jumper connections in network cabinets

Key specifications

• Material: sheet steel
• Finish: zinc-plated, passivated
• Dimensions: 120 x 90 mm
• Compatible with: telecommunication system strips and distribution enclosures

How to use

Position the cable shunting ring on a compatible telecommunication strip or inside the distribution enclosure at the required cable entry or routing point. Secure the ring using appropriate fasteners through the mounting points provided and route cables through the ring to achieve the desired separation and strain relief. Ensure that screws and fasteners are suitable for the enclosure material and meet grounding or bonding requirements if applicable.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, inspect the zinc-plated, passivated finish periodically for signs of corrosion in harsh environments and use suitable grounding/bonding practices when mounting inside metal enclosures. Select fasteners that do not damage the protective coating.
