Filtre UV pour appareil photo B+W BASIC 010, 5,2 cm, noir

The B+W BASIC 010 Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter B+W BASIC 010 5.2 cm Black is a single-piece screw-in filter created to reduce ultraviolet haze and provide basic front-element protection for photographic lenses. With a clear optical glass element and a slim black metal ring sized at 5.2 cm, the filter is intended to be mounted on compatible lenses to help improve contrast and image clarity in outdoor shooting conditions where UV light can cause softening or bluish cast.

Advantages

This UV filter offers durable mechanical protection for the lens surface while maintaining neutral color transmission and minimal impact on exposure. The slim black frame is designed to reduce the likelihood of vignetting on wide-angle lenses at the specified diameter. Constructed as a single-piece element, it is lightweight and easy to attach or remove, making it practical for everyday use in varying weather conditions.

Suitable for

• Outdoor landscape and travel photography where UV haze affects distant subjects
• Lenses with a 52 mm filter thread that require front-element protection
• Photographers seeking a neutral, always-on protective filter for general shooting

Key specifications

• Filter type: Ultraviolet (UV) filter
• Mount style: Screw-in
• Diameter: 5.2 cm (52 mm equivalent thread size)
• Frame color and material: Black metal slim ring
• Optical element: Clear glass designed for neutral color transmission
• Pack quantity: Single piece

How to use

Screw the filter gently onto the lens front until it is secure; avoid overtightening to prevent difficulty when removing. Use the filter during daylight shooting, particularly in conditions with strong sunlight or when photographing distant subjects to reduce atmospheric haze. The filter can remain mounted as a protective measure when not actively correcting UV effects. Clean the glass surface with a microfiber cloth and appropriate lens cleaning fluid to maintain optical clarity.

Recommendations

For best results, confirm the lens thread diameter matches the 5.2 cm size before purchase. When using ultra-wide-angle lenses, check for vignetting and, if necessary, switch to a dedicated ultra-slim filter design or remove the filter for critical wide-field compositions.
