Tuyau Gardena 5005-20

The GARDENA Lay Flat Hose Kit 38 mm (1 1/2"), 10 m is a compact, high-quality hose extension designed primarily for use with submersible pumps. The flat hose expands to a 38 mm diameter during operation and lies flat for compact storage when not in use. Made from double-layered, reinforced PVC fabric, the hose is UV- and weather-resistant and manufactured in Europe. The kit includes a hose clip and carries a 12-year warranty.

Advantages

The 10 m long flat hose combines space-saving storage with heavy-duty performance: it becomes flat when drained for convenient folding and does not need to be completely dried before storage thanks to the PVC material. Its reinforced, double-layer construction provides a working pressure resistance of 5 bar and a burst pressure up to 15 bar. The flexible design reduces back pressure when used with pumps, improving pump efficiency. The kit is supplied ready to use and includes a hose clip.

Suitable for

• Extension of submersible pump outlets
• Agricultural water transfer and irrigation tasks
• Temporary or seasonal drainage and dewatering
• Garden watering where compact storage is required

How to use

Connect the flat hose to the outlet of the submersible pump using the appropriate coupling. Unfold the hose along the route where water will flow; it will expand to its operating diameter when pressurised. Ensure the hose is free from kinks and sharp bends to maintain optimal flow and reduce back pressure. After use, drain remaining water; the hose will flatten and can be folded for compact storage. The included hose clip can be used to secure the connection or close the hose end temporarily.

Recommendations

For long service life, avoid dragging the hose over sharp edges and store it folded in a shaded, dry place when not in frequent use. Check connections before each use and replace the hose clip if damaged. Do not exceed the specified working and burst pressure limits.
