Antenne satellite Kathrein CAS 90gr

The Kathrein CAS 90gr satellite antenna is a 90 cm reflector designed for reliable reception in the 10.70–12.75 GHz frequency band. Constructed from aluminium and finished in graphite, it combines a compact footprint with structural durability. With a maximum gain of 39.6 dBi and overall dimensions of approximately 967 mm width and 103 cm height, the antenna suits installations where stable signal capture and resistance to outdoor conditions are required.

Advantages

The aluminium reflector provides a lightweight but sturdy structure that resists corrosion and maintains shape over time. The 90 cm diameter and high gain specification improve signal strength and reduce sensitivity to small pointing errors. Graphite finish offers discreet appearance on façades and masts while providing a protective coating against weathering. The antenna's physical dimensions and moderate weight simplify handling and mounting during installation.

How to use

Select a mounting location with a clear line of sight to the target satellite and secure the antenna to a mast or wall bracket using appropriate fasteners. Assemble the reflector and feed arm following the manufacturer's mounting pattern, ensuring the feedhorn and LNB align with the dish focal point. Connect the coaxial cable to the LNB and route it to the indoor receiver, maintaining proper cable weatherproofing at the outdoor connection. Use a satellite finder or receiver signal meter to fine-tune azimuth and elevation for optimal reception, then tighten all mounting hardware to maintain alignment.

Recommendations

For long-term performance, check mounting hardware periodically and remove debris or heavy snow buildup from the reflector surface. Use corrosion-resistant clamps and seal outdoor cable connections to prevent water ingress. If installing in areas with strong wind loads, consider reinforcing the mast and verifying that local mounting standards and wind-load ratings are observed.
