Cordon S/FTP Draka Comteq Cat6 vert 2 m

The Draka Comteq S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in green, 2 meters long, is a shielded network cable designed for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling and point-to-point connections. With individually shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil braid, this patch cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable Gigabit Ethernet links and reliable performance in mixed-equipment environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP configuration provides improved immunity to external noise compared with unshielded cables, which helps maintain signal integrity in environments with electromagnetic disturbances. The Cat6 specification allows transmission suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many common LAN applications, while the 2 m length offers flexible placement between racks, switches, patch panels and end devices. A robust jacket and precise pair twisting enhance durability and consistent electrical characteristics over time.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and patch panels in data closets and server rooms
• Linking desktop PCs, workstations and networked printers to wall ports
• Short runs between network devices in home and office LANs
• Environments where shielded cabling is required to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil shielding on individual pairs)
• Length: 2 m
• Color: Green
• Connector type: RJ45 to RJ45 (8P8C)
• Suitable bandwidth: up to 250 MHz
• Typical supported link speed: Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T)

How to use

Insert each RJ45 plug into the corresponding port until the connector latches; ensure connectors are fully seated on both ends to establish a reliable link. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep it separated from high-voltage power lines where possible. When installing in racks or trays, use gentle routing and strain relief to prevent undue stress on connectors.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short permanent or temporary connections where shielded performance is beneficial. Verify that both connected devices and patch panels support shielded cabling and properly grounded racks to maintain the shielding effectiveness. Periodically inspect connectors for wear and test link speed after installation to confirm expected performance.
