Cordon S/FTP Cat6 Draka Comteq 10 m jaune

The Draka Comteq S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 10m in yellow is a shielded networking cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. Constructed with individually shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil shield, this Cat6 patch cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk to maintain stable Gigabit Ethernet connections. The 10 metre length and distinctive yellow jacket make it practical for visible cable runs in homes, offices and data closets where identification and organization are important.

Advantages

Shielding on each twisted pair plus an overall shield provides improved protection against external noise sources compared with unshielded cables. The Cat6 specification ensures support for Gigabit Ethernet and suitable bandwidth for typical LAN applications. A 10m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or within rack enclosures without additional couplers. The yellow outer jacket simplifies cable identification and routing in mixed-colour installations.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and endpoints
• Structured cabling runs in small office and home networks
• Connections in areas with potential electromagnetic interference
• Patch panels and rack-mounted equipment in server rooms

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 metres
• Colour: Yellow
• Connector type: RJ45 terminated (standard modular plugs)
• Supported data rate: up to Gigabit Ethernet speeds

How to use

Plug each RJ45 connector firmly into the network ports of the devices you intend to link, such as a switch, router or computer. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a reliable connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it separated from mains power cables where possible to minimize interference. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories and avoid excessive tension on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this S/FTP Cat6 cable where shielding is beneficial—near electrical equipment, fluorescent lighting or other potential noise sources. Test connections after installation with network monitoring tools to confirm link speed and signal integrity. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show physical damage.
