Contrôleur RAID ERNITEC CORE-8CH-RAID-CONT-V4 — 8 canaux, 12 Gbit/s par port

ERNITEC CORE-8CH-RAID-CONT-V4 is an 8-channel RAID controller that delivers up to 12 Gbps per port for managing multiple HDD and SSD drives in servers and storage systems. The controller is designed to handle array configuration, RAID level management and data redundancy tasks across eight independent channels, enabling aggregation of drives for enhanced throughput and capacity. It is suitable for deployment in data centers, NAS appliances and other high-throughput storage environments where consistent data handling and predictable performance are required.

Advantages

The controller provides eight independent channels with 12 Gbps link speed per port, enabling high-bandwidth connections to contemporary SATA and SAS storage devices. Its array-management capabilities allow configuration of common RAID levels to balance performance, capacity and redundancy. The unit supports simultaneous drive operation across channels, reducing bottlenecks in multi-drive systems and facilitating streamlined storage scaling. Designed for integration into server and storage platforms, the controller focuses on reliable drive aggregation and predictable data throughput.

Suitable for

• Server storage arrays requiring multi-drive aggregation
• Network-attached storage (NAS) appliances
• Data centers and enterprise backup systems
• High-throughput applications such as media editing and virtualization hosts

Key specifications

• Channels: 8 independent channels
• Per-port throughput: up to 12 Gbps
• Supported drive types: HDD and SSD (SATA/SAS compatible devices)
• RAID support: common RAID levels for array configuration and redundancy
• Use environment: server and storage systems, NAS appliances, data center racks

How to use

Install the controller into a compatible server or storage enclosure following the host system manufacturer’s instructions for PCIe or dedicated slot mounting. Connect drives to the controller ports using appropriate cables and connectors for the supported drive interfaces. Use the provided management utility or the host firmware interface to create and configure arrays, select RAID levels, initialize volumes and set redundancy options. Monitor drive health and performance through the controller management tools and apply firmware updates as provided by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Ensure cable and connector compatibility with target drives and maintain proper cooling in multi-drive installations to preserve performance. Choose RAID level based on the required balance between performance and redundancy, and perform regular backups before major array changes. Keep controller firmware and host drivers up to date to maintain compatibility and reliability.
