Scie sauteuse puissante Black & Decker BDCJS18N

The Black & Decker BDCJS18N is an 18V cordless jigsaw designed for portable cutting tasks in wood and metal. With a 1.9 cm stroke length and a bevel capacity of 45°, this battery-powered tool delivers controlled reciprocating motion for straight and beveled cuts. It cuts wood up to 5.5 cm deep and steel up to 8 mm, making it suitable for renovation, joinery and on-site adjustments where mains power is not available.

Advantages

The cordless design offers high mobility and convenience on jobsites and around the home. The 18V Lithium‑Ion power source provides consistent cutting performance without the memory effect, while the compact body improves handling and precision. A 45° bevel capacity expands cutting versatility for angled joints and trim work. The specified stroke length balances cutting speed and finish quality for a range of materials.

Suitable for

• Portable cutting of soft and hard woods for carpentry and DIY projects
• Making bevel cuts for skirting boards, mouldings and furniture components
• Cutting thin metal sheets, pipes and brackets up to the stated thickness
• On-site adjustments and renovation tasks where cable-free operation is needed

Key specifications

• Power source: 18V Lithium‑Ion battery
• Stroke length: 1.9 cm
• Maximum wood cutting depth: 5.5 cm
• Maximum steel cutting thickness: 8 mm
• Bevel capacity: up to 45°
• Tool type: Cordless jigsaw for straight and bevel cuts

How to use

Install a blade suitable for the material to be cut and ensure the battery is fully charged. Secure the workpiece and mark the cutting line clearly. Hold the jigsaw firmly with both hands, align the blade with the cutting line, then start the tool and allow it to reach operating speed before engaging the cut. Feed the saw steadily without forcing the blade; let the stroke length and blade design determine appropriate cutting speed. For bevel cuts, set the shoe to the required angle and re-check the alignment before cutting. After use, switch off the tool, remove the battery and store blades safely.

Recommendations

Use blades rated for wood or metal according to the material and desired finish; coarse-tooth blades cut faster in softwood, fine-tooth blades produce smoother edges in thin metal and plywood. For longer blade life and cleaner cuts, clamp thin workpieces and cut with steady, controlled feed speed. Always wear appropriate eye and hearing protection and follow local safety guidelines for cordless power tools.
