Cordon Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 gris 15 m

The Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 patch cable in grey, 15 m length, is designed for structured network installations that require improved signal integrity and protection against electromagnetic interference. Featuring F/UTP (foil-shielded, unshielded twisted pair) construction, this Cat6 cable supports high-speed Ethernet connections and stable data transmission across longer runs in both residential and commercial environments.

Advantages

The foil shielding around the twisted pairs reduces crosstalk and external interference, improving overall link performance and consistency. The Cat6 category specification supports higher bandwidth and faster data rates than Cat5e, making it suitable for gigabit Ethernet and many demanding network applications. The 15 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between patch panels and switches without additional splices. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance for easy integration into existing cabling infrastructure.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home or office networks
• Connections between switches, routers, patch panels and wall outlets
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Temporary or permanent cabling for workstations, servers, and AV equipment

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 (high performance)
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil around all pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Color: Grey
• Conductor: twisted pairs suitable for Ethernet signaling
• Intended use: horizontal and patch cabling for data networks

How to use

Connect one end of the Cat6 HP-FTP patch cable to the RJ45 port of your network device (switch, router, network card) and the other end to the target port (patch panel, wall jack, or another device). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a reliable mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid tight bundling near power sources or potential interference generators to maintain signal quality. If connecting through cable management panels, leave sufficient slack to allow for movement and maintenance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, test links after installation with a network tester to verify continuity and performance parameters. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and maintain recommended bend radius to prevent damage to the internal pairs. Use suitable cable management accessories to secure the cable and reduce mechanical stress over time.
