Cordon Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 gris 10 m

The Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 patch cable in grey, 10 m length, provides a shielded Ethernet connection designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. Constructed with F/UTP shielding, this Cat6 cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. The cable is suitable for structured cabling, linking switches, routers, patch panels, and network devices in home or small office environments.

Advantages

F/UTP shielding around the twisted pairs improves signal integrity in environments with electrical noise. The Cat6 performance rating supports higher bandwidth and data rates required by modern networks. A 10 m length offers flexibility for mid-range connections while the grey jacket provides a neutral appearance that blends into typical office or residential installations. Durable construction helps maintain consistent performance over repeated handling and installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels within LANs
• Wiring desktop PCs, printers and VoIP phones
• Home networking and small office network setups
• Environments with moderate sources of electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance for up to 250 MHz bandwidth
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield around twisted pairs with unshielded overall jacket)
• Length: 10 metres
• Color: Grey
• Connector type: RJ45 compatible
• Application: Ethernet LAN cabling for gigabit networks

How to use

Connect one end of the patch cable to the RJ45 port of the network device (for example a switch, router or PC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and the clip engages for a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive tension and proximity to large electrical cables when possible to preserve shielding effectiveness and signal quality.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within typical indoor temperature ranges and avoid crushing or kinking. When deploying near heavy electrical equipment, maintain separation or use additional shielding in the infrastructure. Verify link speed and duplex settings on connected devices after installation to confirm gigabit operation.
