The cable tester allows fast verification of network and Ethernet cables and supports testing of Power over Ethernet (PoE) sources. Its detachable remote unit enables testing of permanently installed cables without disconnecting endpoints. The device is compact and intended for straightforward field or workshop use.

Key specifications

• Tests: network/Ethernet cable continuity and wiring
• PoE testing: detects presence of PoE power
• Remote unit: detachable for testing installed cables
• Usage: handheld, suitable for field and workshop

How to use

Connect the main unit to one end of the cable and the remote unit to the other end, or remove the remote unit and attach it where the cable is permanently installed. Activate the tester to run the continuity and wiring check; use the PoE function to detect whether a power source is present on the cable. Follow standard safety procedures when working with live PoE circuits.

Recommendations

For reliable results, ensure connectors and cable ends are clean and undamaged before testing. Do not attempt internal repairs on live PoE power sources; disconnect power when making physical repairs.
