Souris IBM Optical 3 boutons USB 41U3012

The IBM Optical 3 Button Mouse USB 41U3012 is a wired pointing device designed for everyday computing. It uses an optical sensor to track movement on most desk surfaces, offers three physical buttons including a primary left and right click plus a middle button, and connects via a standard USB interface for plug-and-play operation. The product combines a contoured shape intended for extended use with a compact footprint suited to office desks and laptop users.

Advantages

The optical sensor delivers consistent pointer movement without the need for a mouse pad on many surfaces. The three-button layout supports standard navigation and additional functions where the middle button is supported by software. USB connectivity provides immediate recognition by modern operating systems and eliminates the need for additional adapters. The ergonomic contour reduces strain during prolonged use while the simple wired design ensures stable, latency-free input.

Suitable for

• General office work and web browsing
• Data entry and productivity applications
• Home computing and laptop use
• Basic gaming where three-button control is sufficient
• Environments requiring reliable wired connectivity

Key specifications

• Connection: USB wired interface
• Buttons: Three physical buttons (left, right, middle)
• Tracking: Optical sensor for precise cursor movement
• Form factor: Ergonomic, right/ambidextrous-friendly contour (compact footprint)
• Compatibility: Works with common operating systems via USB plug-and-play

How to use

Connect the USB plug to an available USB port on your computer. The operating system should detect the device automatically and enable basic functionality without additional drivers in most cases. Use the left and right buttons for standard selection and context actions; use the middle button where supported by applications for functions such as auto-scroll or custom macros. Place the mouse on a stable, flat surface for best tracking performance; if surface texture interferes with the optical sensor, use a plain mouse pad.

Recommendations

For stable operation, avoid exposing the optical lens to dust and debris; periodically inspect and clean the sensor area with a soft, dry cloth. If advanced button mapping is required, install manufacturer-recommended or third-party configuration software compatible with your operating system. For extended comfort, adjust desk height and chair position so the forearm rests naturally while operating the mouse.
