Lanterne LED Coleman 2000033873 noir blanc

The Coleman 2000033873 LED Lantern is a compact, battery-powered lighting solution designed for outdoor and indoor tasks that require reliable illumination. Delivering 200 lumens of luminous flux, this lantern offers a balance of brightness and portability. Constructed in a two-tone black and white housing and weighing approximately 0.176 kg, it measures 80 mm x 80 mm x 125 mm, making it simple to carry, pack into a bag, or place on a tabletop. Rated IPX4 for water resistance, the lantern can withstand splashes and light rain, and it runs on standard AA batteries for convenient power replacement.

Advantages

The Coleman LED lantern provides clear, even light from a 360° source with a modest 200-lumen output suitable for close-range illumination. Its compact dimensions and light weight make it easy to transport and store, while the AA battery operation ensures widespread availability of power and straightforward battery changes. The IPX4 rating adds a level of weather protection for use in damp conditions, and the simple two-colour design fits a range of outdoor gear setups without adding bulk.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This lantern’s 200-lumen output is intended for close-range, area illumination rather than long-distance signaling or spotlighting. It is not designed for prolonged submersion and its IPX4 rating means it resists splashes and rain but should not be exposed to heavy jets of water or full immersion. For activities requiring very high brightness, long-range beam throw, or integrated rechargeable powerbanks, a different product may be more appropriate.

How to use

Install the required AA batteries according to the polarity markings in the battery compartment. Use the lantern’s power control to turn the light on and off and to select any available brightness settings if provided. Position the lantern centrally in the area you want to illuminate or hang it if a hanging point is available for 360° distribution. After use, switch the lantern off and remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use fresh alkaline AA batteries and store the lantern in a dry place when not in use. Avoid full submersion and protect the lantern from heavy impacts. Place the lantern at a central point for even 360° illumination, and consider pairing it with a focused headlamp if directional light is required.
