Maillet bois-plastique Bahco 3625W-28

The Mallet Plastic Wood Bahco 3625W-28 combines a wooden handle with a durable plastic striking tip to offer controlled impact for precision tasks. Designed with a tip diameter of 2.8 cm and an overall length of 275 mm, this mallet balances reach and manoeuvrability. At approximately 250 g, it is lightweight enough for extended use while providing sufficient force for joinery, assembly, and delicate adjustments where metal hammers could cause damage.

Advantages

The plastic tip reduces the risk of marring or deforming workpieces compared with metal striking tools. The wooden handle delivers a natural grip and dampens vibration for better tactile feedback. Compact dimensions and a moderate weight support fine control during repetitive tasks and allow precise delivery of force. The combination of materials ensures durability for general woodworking and workshop use.

Suitable for

• Woodworking joinery and fitting components
• Assembly of furniture and cabinetry
• Installing dowels, trims, and mouldings without damaging surfaces
• Light metalworking tasks where a non-marring strike is required
• Hobby and model making that require gentle, accurate impacts

Key specifications

• Tip material: durable plastic
• Handle material: wood
• Tip diameter: 2.8 cm
• Total length: 275 mm
• Weight: 250 g

How to use

Hold the mallet by the wooden handle close enough to the end for secure control while allowing a natural wrist motion. Position the plastic tip against the target area and strike with measured force appropriate to the task; begin with lighter blows and increase force as needed. Use the mallet to assemble joints, seat fittings, or adjust parts where a metal hammer would risk denting or marring surfaces. Inspect the tip and handle periodically for wear and replace the tool if the striking face becomes excessively deformed.

Recommendations

For best results, use on clean, dry surfaces and avoid striking hardened steel edges directly with the plastic tip. When working with painted or delicate finishes, test a light strike in an inconspicuous area. Store the mallet in a dry place to protect the wooden handle and prevent tip degradation over time.
