Détecteur de gaz TFA-Dostmann AirCO2ntrol 5000

The TFA-Dostmann AirCO2ntrol 5000 monitors indoor air quality by measuring CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity. Designed for use in rooms with many occupants such as schools, offices and public buildings, the device helps to identify stale or contaminated air so that ventilation can be carried out in a timely and energy-efficient way. The unit includes a data logger function that stores measurements on the supplied micro‑SD card for later evaluation.

Advantages

The AirCO2ntrol 5000 displays current CO2 levels and a graph of historical values with maximum and minimum readings. A configurable bar‑graph timeline shows data by minute, hour, day or week and can optionally include temperature and humidity on the chart. A coloured traffic‑light indicator (green/yellow/red) shows air quality at a glance and a user‑adjustable alarm notifies when a preset limit is exceeded. The logger records over 1 million data sets (CO2, humidity, temperature with date and time) as a CSV file on the included micro‑SD card. Power is supplied via the included micro‑USB cable.

Suitable for

• Monitoring CO2 concentration in classrooms
• Air quality control in offices and meeting rooms
• Use in public buildings and facilities
• Continuous indoor climate logging for later analysis

How to use

Place the AirCO2ntrol 5000 in the room where occupancy and air exchange need to be monitored, away from direct vents or heat sources. Connect the device to mains power using the supplied micro‑USB cable. Configure the measurement interval and alarm threshold via the device menu according to the room size and expected occupancy. Read current readings and historical graphs on the display; insert the supplied micro‑SD card to enable continuous logging. Transfer the CSV file to a computer for detailed analysis using spreadsheet software.

Recommendations

For meaningful long‑term data, position the unit at breathing height and avoid placing it directly next to windows, doors or HVAC outlets. Regularly back up the micro‑SD card data and adjust alarm thresholds to the ventilation strategy of the specific room.
