Capteur environnemental Eltako Windsensor WS

The Eltako Windsensor WS is a wired environmental sensor engineered to measure wind speed reliably for smart home and building automation systems. Compact in design with a height of 117 mm and a diameter of 12.5 cm, the white housing allows discrete mounting on facades, masts or balcony rails while delivering continuous wind data to connected control units. The device is intended for wired integration into existing sensor networks and provides the wind speed information needed for automated shading, ventilation and safety functions.

Advantages

The Windsensor WS offers precise wind speed measurement in a compact, weather-resistant enclosure suitable for outdoor use. Its wired connection ensures low-latency data transmission and stable integration with controllers. The small footprint and neutral white finish simplify placement and aesthetic integration with building exteriors. The sensor’s mechanical design focuses on durability and consistent performance under varying wind conditions.

How to use

Install the Eltako Windsensor WS in a representative, unobstructed outdoor location where wind flow is not blocked by nearby walls, trees or structures. Secure the sensor to a mast or mounting point using appropriate brackets and route the connection cable to the control unit or distribution point. Connect the sensor wiring according to the control system’s wiring diagram and configure the controller to accept the wind speed input. After connection, verify signal reception and calibrate any threshold values for automated responses such as retracting awnings or initiating ventilation changes.

Recommendations

Place the sensor at a consistent height and away from localized turbulence sources to ensure repeatable wind measurements. Periodically inspect the sensor for debris and mounting integrity, and follow the control system’s guidelines for input scaling and alarm thresholds to match the needs of shading or safety functions.
